About Us
Get closer with a genuine, emotional connection to the joy of Algonquin
Where do we start? Bartlett Lodge has been creating memories for Algonquin visitors since 1917. Located on Cache Lake at around the mid-point of the Highway 60 corridor, the magic begins the moment you enter one of the two park gates, park your car on our shoreline and board the ‘freighter canoe’ for the short ride to our Lodge. From that moment on, you’re closer than you ever dreamed possible to Algonquin’s history, the inspiration for Canadian impressionists, wildlife and the sense of calm that is part of every experience you have with us.

Marilyn & Kim Smith: Proprietors
In 1997, Kim & Marilyn Smith assumed ownership of Bartlett Lodge resort. Since that time, this classic Ontario resort has undergone extensive and exciting renovations. Kim & Marilyn, also the owners of Camp Tanamakoon for girls in Algonquin Park, have always been sensitive to the history, environment and intimacy of Bartlett Lodge and the surrounding Algonquin Park area. A labour of love, the renovations reflect careful planning involving a unique combination of preserving the past and meeting the needs of today’s travelers. Choosing to stay with us in our wild, yet sensitive environment, tells us that you share our concern for the planet. It is all of our responsibility to work toward a cleaner environment to preserve the delicate ecosystem that surrounds us. The well earned reputation for superb cuisine makes a visitor’s stay unsurpassed in excellence! The friendly and enthusiastic staff will bring warmth and gentle attention to every detail of your vacation with us.

What our guests have to say
“Thank you so very much for a fantastic wedding weekend. Whitney and I knew that the only place we wanted to get married was Bartlett, and together you all pulled off the best weekend of our lives! Service was incredible as always, but beyond that, you all made us feel as if we were friends, and that was so important given the style of wedding that we were looking to achieve…We have been receiving calls all week from our guests telling us how much they enjoyed our wedding and Bartlett….We wish you all a wonderful winter, and we’ll see you next year!”
– Jeffrey & Whitney
What a fabulous visit! Loved our eco cabin, enjoyed every bite of our meals and couldn’t get enough of the fresh Algonquin air! Hope to be back again soon.
